The Autopilot is my take on one of the most iconic overdrives of all time: the Ibanez TS10. You know it. You’ve heard it on records whether you realized it or not. And yeah, there’s a reason it stuck around this long. But if you’ve ever wished you could tame the mids or open it up a little more without losing that classic feel… that’s exactly why I built this.
The Autopilot is a faithful clone of the TS10 at heart. Same clipping, same feel, same sweet spot when pushing a dirty amp. But I added a simple, powerful twist: the ‘Fat’ control.
The Fat knob adjusts the bass and midrange response before the gain stage, so it shapes how the drive reacts to your playing. Cranked up, it hits the gain section with full low-mids for that classic, mid-forward Tube Screamer punch. But as you turn it down, it loosens the low end and pulls back the mids slightly, giving you more clarity, less congestion, and a smoother, more open drive character. It’s subtle, but incredibly useful when you’re stacking pedals, running into different amps, or just dialing in the right feel for your rig.
The Autopilot gives you that “plug in and go” feel, but with a little more control under the hood. Set it, forget it, and trust it to sound good in the mix every single time.
Because sometimes you do want to put it on Autopilot — just make sure it’s the right one.
